Kevin M. Burke - Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Burke founded Centuria in 2002 and has overseen its rapid growth to over 140 employees in 10 states. From 2005 to 2008 Centuria exploded with 5,968% growth leading to back to back appearances on the Inc. 500 (15th fastest growing firm in the nation in 2009), back to back appearances on the Washington Technology Fast 50, the Deloitte Fast 50 in 2008, and the Top 100 GWAC Contractors in 2008.

Prior to founding Centuria Mr. Burke founded and managed two other corporations. Synapse Incorporated was founded in 1996 and rapidly grew from one billable IT consultant (Mr. Burke) to over 40 employees and three million in annual revenues by 1999. Synapse Incorporated’s government IT consulting practice was sold to Centuria Corporation in 2002.

Synapse HCS (healthcare solutions) was founded in 2000 with the assistance of angel funding to pursue opportunities in automating private medical practices. Synapse HCS never matured beyond the need for outside capital and its assets were sold to Alteer Corporation in 2002.

Prior to building these companies Mr. Burke served as an on-site account manager for Cornell Technical Services at MCI (1/96-10/96), as a GS employee within the Office of the Secretary, HHS where he rose from a GS-7 to a GS -12 in 4 years (1/92-1/96), and as a United States Marine where he received a Navy Achievement Medal for meritorious conduct (1/88- 1/92).
