Mr. Burke, a decorated Marine, founded Centuria in 2002 and has driven its rapid growth to over 170 employees in 1o states. From 2005 to 2011 Centuria’s growth exploded leading to four consecutive appearances on the Inc. 5,000, and four consecutive years on the Washington Technology Fast 50 (2008-2011). In 2011, Kevin received a SmartCEO Future 50 award.
Mr. Burke built and manages a highly responsive, capable and seasoned management team that has allowed Centuria to combine big company reliability with small company agility. For a “small business”, Centuria has unusually strong capabilities in managing complex and large government programs.
Mr. Burke developed Centuria’s overall strategy to include focusing on prime opportunities while deepening long-standing partnerships with larger firms. Centuria’s prime to sub ratio is 91% prime to 9% subcontractor. While our subcontracting ratio is very low, we enjoy very strong and trusted relationships with our prime partners including a 16-year relationship with Serco (Legacy SI, legacy Statistica).
Prior to founding Centuria Kevin founded Synapse Incorporated, which grew to over 40 employees in less than twenty-four months. Prior to building these companies Kevin served as a technical resource for MCI, a GS employee within the Department of Health and Human Services, and as a United States Marine. Kevin has been supporting the United States government as a Marine, Public Servant and as a government service provider for a combined 24 years.
Mr. Burke has been featured in Inc. Magazine and is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and AFCEA. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Spinal Research Foundation.
