Katie Arrington, Client Principle, has been named as Chair of the Fundraising/Charitable committee for Palmetto Chapter (SC) of Women in Defense (WID). In this role, Arrington will help plan events and programs that will fund the group’s charitable outreach which centers around raising funds for programs to support Wounded Warriors as well as scholarship programs.
“We’re really going to be planning outside of the box this year,” said Arrington. “Looking to do something different than your usual golf tournaments etc… and will be looking for ways to get the community, including high school and college students, involved.”
The goal of WID is provide networking and professional development opportunities to promote the role of women in national defense and security, to support military service members, and to encourage partnerships between the local contractor community and military personnel at Joint Base Charleston and the Department of Homeland Security.
