The team working on the National Weather Service (NWS) Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) Radar Operations Center (ROC) continued their commitment to service with a couple fun events this spring.
For a number of years the team has participated in Rebuilding Together (formerly called Christmas in April). This year a team of 14 worked to help a family rebuild a backyard shed and repaint the outside trim of their home.
Centuria sponsored the Meals on Wheels Golf Tournament which helps fund the organization’s mission to provide nutritious meals to the frail of health and homebound seniors of Norman, OK. Outside of the tournament, the NEXRAD team frequently volunteers with Meals on Wheels to deliver the food.
