Centuria’s team of 55 scientists, meteorologists, engineers and IT experts provide infrastructure engineering design, development, implementation, production, installation, and integration support to the National Weather Service (NWS) Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) Radar Operations Center (ROC) in support of nearly 200 Doppler weather radars that provide critical tornado and severe weather warning observations across the Continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Azores, and Korea. The team is involved in every phase of the software lifecycle across business and technical applications. They also provide facility support, program management, and quality assurance. This contract involves customer touch points within NWS, Department of Transportation, and the Air Force.

Centuria provided maintenance of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) National Cemetery Administration information kiosks at over 160 National and State Veterans Cemeteries. The kiosks are used by visitors to locate the internment sites of veterans and to navigate the facility. They are an integral part of the professional experience the VA strives to provide for veterans and their families. The cemeteries are located in 39 states as well as Puerto Rico. Management of this geographically diverse contract was achieved through web based systems and tools that allowed Centuria to coordinate consulting technicians within hours of a problem developing at any location and resolve the issue.

Centuria provides the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) with “patent pre-classifiers” that review Patent requests sent into the PTO and categorize them into the different “arts” categories that the Patent office is organized into. Our team are subject matter experts in topics as varied as biotechnology, media, semiconductors, and transportation. This expertise ensures a 97% accuracy rate, an improvement of 30 percent over previous performance accuracy.
