What do you like best about working at Centuria?
I’d have to say that the thing that I like most is knowing that my team members have my back and that Integrity is a two way street. My manager has placed a large amount of trust in me and that’s something I value.
What do you define as the pivotal element of success in your career at Centuria?
Being out here on my own, I do not have day-to-day contact with most of the company. Also my duties take me away from my desk for days at a time, I have a wonderful support group of folks in Norman, OK who make great efforts to ensure I am kept in the loop. I credit them with keeping me right with the company.
My relationship with our customer is of paramount importance to me. The majority of my duties revolve around conducting classroom and laboratory instruction in WSR-88D NEXRAD Weather Radar Maintenance. I really enjoy seeing that ah-ha moment when a student grasps a new concept or hearing that they came away from our course feeling confident in their abilities and enabled to perform to a credible standard.
What do you like to do in your free time?
At the moment I’d have to say that I most enjoy working on restoring my car, but frequently I find myself sidetracked into helping out my neighbors or improving the common areas in my neighborhood. I guess I’ll never get away from community service.
What was your favorite Halloween costume?
I have not dressed in a costume in a while, the last time I did was as the Grim Reaper, probably 20 years ago. Not sure that I’d say that was my all-time favorite, I vaguely remember being Casper when I was about 6 years old.
