Employee Spotlight: Ryan Sale

Centuria recognizes Ryan Sale for his dedication, attitude, and achievements in providing first class service to our customers. Ryan serves as the Observation Lead supporting the Tri-Agency [United States Navy (USN), United States Coast Guard (USCG), and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)] U.S. National Ice Center (USNIC) where he has been instrumental in ensuring USNIC meets its critical global maritime safety operations mission. 

Over the past few months, Ryan stepped in as acting Team and Imagery Order Desk Lead while the position was vacant. He supported the development of new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for imagery ordering that simplified and streamlined the process. Ryan also provided orientation and training for the incoming Team and Imagery Order Desk Lead. Ryan demonstrated initiative and adaptability to ensure the standards for the Imagery Order Desk were maintained. For his efforts, Ryan was awarded the USNIC’s Team Member of the Quarter (TMOQ) Award. The Director/Commanding Officer of the USNIC, CDR Travis Wendt, said, “Ryan has been a steady and dependable force at the U.S. National Ice Center, keeping the order desk operating at the highest standard and without delays, blackouts or shortcomings.”

ProTech encompasses a suite of IDIQ multiple award contracts, organized into four Domains: Satellite, Fisheries, Oceans, and Weather. ProTech-Weather 2.0 has a 10-year total period of performance, a ceiling value of $8B (combined ceiling across all ProTech domains) and enables supporting, updating, and planning meteorological, hydrological, and communications capabilities in support of the National Weather Service’s mission and strategic plan to provide weather, water, and climate data, forecasts, warnings, and impact-based decision support services (IDSS) to protect life and property and enhance the national economy and build a Weather-Ready Nation. Centuria was selected for their expertise providing engineering, scientific, and technical services in support of NWS programs including Next Generation Weather Radar (NEXARD), NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), U.S. National Ice Center (USNIC), Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), National Data Buoy Center (NDBC), and to NOAA’s Office of Human Capital Services (OHCS). Centuria Corporation (Centuria) announced today that they have been awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract as part of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) acquisition. MDA SHIELD will support national defense objectives by ensuring continuous, layered protection against air, missiles, space, cyber, and hybrid threats originating from any vector - land, sea, air, space, or cyberspace. The contract is available to all Department of Defense (DOD) departments and agencies and supports commercial and non-commercial services and commodities of both classified and unclassified efforts on multiple security domains.
